Chanthol Oung, founder and executive director of the Cambodian Women's Crisis Center, spent Thursday in Defiance, visiting the DC campus as well as the Family Justice Center. She met Professor Yakos-Brown's Cultural Diversity class and had lunch with members of the Cambodia learning community (pictured). Later in the day, she toured the Family Justice Center and was guest of honor at the center's banquet to observe its one-year anniversary. At the banquet, Chanthol spoke of the work of the Cambodian Women's Crisis Center since its inception in 1997. Defiance College's McMaster School has worked closely with the CWCC for the past several years.
