Defiance College will host the men’s HCAC basketball tournament on Friday, February 29 and Saturday, March 1. As conference champions, the Defiance College men’s basketball team received a bye for first round play which begins on Tuesday, February 26. Following is the schedule for action in the Weaner Community Center.
Friday, February 29
6:00 PM #2 seed vs. the winner of #3 seed vs. #6 seed (which takes place Tuesday, Feb. 26 at #4)
8:00 PM Defiance College Yellow Jackets vs. the winner of #4 seed vs. #4 seed (which takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at #3)
Saturday, March 1
7:00 PM Winners of the Friday night games compete for the automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament
Ticket Prices:
- $8.00 for an all-tournament ticket (two days worth of games)
- $6.00 for a one-day ticket for adults
- $4.00 for a one-day ticket for senior citizens (60 and over)
- $6.00 for an all-tournament ticket for senior citizens (60 and over) and for non-DC students with ID's
- $4.00 for a one-day ticket for non-DC students with ID's
- Children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult
Defiance College staff and faculty do get in free provided they show their ID's at the gate, Spouses and children of faculty and staff will have to pay regular ticket prices
Defiance College students do get in free provided they show a valid ID at the gate,
No other passes (Purple & Gold Club, season tickets, or AVD) will be accepted at the gate.
