Note: Please note the following time changes. The performance, 'Come Blow Your Horn', will be at 7:30p.m. on Friday, Saturday and 1:30p.m. on Sunday.
Neil Simon’s “Come Blow Your Horn” will be presented April 18-20 by senior students in the Theater Directing class at Defiance College. The three-act comedy will be performed in Schomburg Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are available at the door for $6 for adults and $5 for students.
Seniors include Adam Schlett, Sandusky; Phil Williamson, Lima; and David Zwiebel, Napoleon. The cast includes six students from DC acting classes. They will be assisted in the production by the DC Players and adviser Ken Neuenschwander.
“Come Blow Your Horn” premiered in 1961 as the lighthearted tale of two brothers who leave home in search of the good life. The play was made into a movie in 1963 by Norman Lear and starred Frank Sinatra.
In conjunction with the DC thespians’ production, the college’s vocal music department will perform vocal selections before the play and during intermission. The choral group is under the direction of Janet Lyne.
