Commencement Ceremonies Two hundred and twenty-one graduates were awarded diplomas during commencement ceremonies Sunday, May 4th at Defiance College. Journalist and author Maria Hinojosa delivered the commencement address. Graduating senior Erby Lopez was recognized with the bronze Pilgrim Medal, and faculty members Dr. Kenneth Christiansen and Professor Frank Sanders were bestowed with the rank of professor emeritus.
