The Defiance College Women’s Commission Gallery is currently displaying works by Toledo artist Neil Frankenhauser. The exhibit will run through Tuesday, December 2, and close with an artist’s reception from 5 – 7 p.m. that evening.
The pieces on display in the gallery include lush landscapes in oil and pastel, and abstract mixed media works.
Neil Frankenhauser has exhibited his work in over 150 juried regional and national exhibitions since 1961, winning more than 50 awards. He has also participated in group and solo exhibitions and his work is included in many individual and institutional collections across the country. He conceived, designed, and executed two large wall murals at the Toledo Zoo in 1991 and 1993.
The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and at other times by appointment. For more information, contact Gallery Coordinator Jan Bechtel at 419-783-2444.
