DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Concert Choir will hold its Holiday Choral Concert on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. The event will be held in the sanctuary of St. John United Church of Christ, 950 Webster Street, Defiance.
The concert choir will be joined by singers from the Northwest State Community College Choir. Under the direction of Andrew Schultz, director of music programs at Defiance College, the group will perform various holiday choral selections including Elgar’s “The Snow” accompanied by two violins and piano.
The holiday choral concert will focus on three main themes of the holiday season: the music, the child, and the spirit. With this overriding premise, the concert choir will perform both sacred and secular selections along with duets, small groups and hymns accompanied by Carolyn Small on the magnificent Wicks four division, 32-rank organ.
The event is free and open to the public.
