DEFIANCE, Ohio – The next Defiance College Schomburg Series’ performance guarantees its audience an evening to remember. The Tartan Terrors will perform on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. on the DC campus. The Tartan Terrors delight attendees with their traditional Celtic music and dance blended with rock and roll and their own unique brand of Celtic comedy. However, the music is only the beginning. Innovative choreography with acclaimed dancers reveals to audiences what Celtic dance was meant to be.
Led by brother and sister co-artistic directors Ian and Ellen Wilkes Irmisch, the Tartan Terrors bring together a two-time world champion bagpiper, internationally acclaimed musicians and comedians, and high-paced championship caliber highland dancers to create a show that is beyond the ordinary.
"This energetic and multi-talented group of musicians and dancers mix traditional Scottish music with rock and a typically Celtic sense of mischief and fun to produce one of the most dynamic live shows on the Celtic music scene..." said the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The event will be held in Schomburg Auditorium on the campus of Defiance College.
Individual tickets may be ordered online at
