DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Hench Autism Studies Program at Defiance College will hold a parents’ meeting on Thursday, August 20, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Dix Room, Schauffler Hall.
Special guest presenter will be Jennifer Kirby, manager of education advocacy for the Ability Center of Toledo. She has extensive training in special education law, specific disabilities, and classroom strategies, and has been working with students and parents on educational advocacy issues since 1995. Kirby will be speaking about her role in helping families whose children, adolescents, and young adults have autism and how to access services for them.
