DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Hench Autism Studies Program at Defiance College will hold a parents’ meeting on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 7 - 8:30 p.m. in the Dix Room, Schauffler Hall.
Defiance College, chartered in 1850, is an independent, liberal arts institution in Northwest Ohio offering more than 40 undergraduate majors as well as graduate programs in education and business. Special guest presenter will be Barb Yavorcik, Executive Director of the Autism Society of Ohio. The society is a group of parents and professionals working on the behalf of persons with autism and autism spectrum disorders. Yavorcik will be discussing the services the society provides and how parents can be involved.
