Defiance College Adds Three New Faculty Members

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Three new, full-time faculty members joined Defiance College.  All bring extensive academic expertise in their respective disciplines.

Lisa Condon, Assistant Professor of Nursing, received her Master of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Ohio and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bowling Green State University.  Additionally, she has served as an adjunct nursing faculty at Owens Community College and has years of nursing experience within roles ranging from a surgical staff nurse to a variety of program coordinator positions.

Condon is a very active and involved nursing professional with memberships in the American Nurses Association, the Ohio Nurses Association, and the National League for Nursing. She has also been involved in a variety of medical research projects at the Medical College Hospitals in Toledo.

Condon will be teaching in Defiance’s nursing program as well as providing ongoing support for the CCNE self-study and upcoming accreditation visit.

Emily Hayman, Assistant Professor of Education, earned a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice/Severe Behaviors at the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the State University of New York at Albany.  She has also earned a variety of specialized professional certifications in the areas of severe behaviors, adaptive behaviors, and differentiated instruction.  Hayman is currently a doctoral candidate in the Curriculum and Instruction for Special Education, Early Childhood program at the University of Toledo. 

Jay Page, Assistant Professor of Marketing, earned a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Business Administration at Indiana State University.  He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Community College and Distance Learning Leadership program at Mississippi State University.

Page previously served as a full-time Assistant Professor of Business and Marketing at Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, and has taught or completed administrative projects for East Mississippi Community College, Mississippi University for Women, Mississippi State University, and Indiana State University.  He has completed a variety of presentations at professional conferences and has been published in the Journal of Management and Marketing Research.
