DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College Chamber Singers will kick-off the holiday season with a choral concert on Sunday, Dec. 4. The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of St. John United Church of Christ located at 950 Webster St.
The Holiday Choral Concert will once again focus on the main themes of the season including the child, the music and the spirit. With this overriding premise, the 25-member ensemble under the direction of Andrew Schultz and accompanied by Candace Stoffel will perform both sacred and secular selections.
Each section will begin with a reading by DC chaplain Jan Bechtel, setting the theme for the musical selections that follow. Audience members will have the opportunity to join in the performance with hymns accompanied by Carolyn Small on the magnificent Wicks, four division, 32-rank organ.
