DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Choral Union will be performing two concerts with the Ohio Northern University Singers. The first performance will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Edgewood Dr., Lima, on Sunday, March 27, at 3:30 p.m.
The second performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2 at St. John United Church of Christ, 950 Webster St., Defiance.
Both concerts will feature the combined choirs performing Paul Basler’s Songs of Faith with accompaniment by horn and percussion instruments. For the group’s home concert on April 2, the DC Choral Union will also be performing selections by Randall Thompson, including the famous Alleluia and Last Words of David.
“The combined choirs sound wonderful! This is a great opportunity for both communities to listen to over 100 voices singing upbeat and inspiring music in two beautiful sanctuaries,” said Andrew Schultz, director of music program at Defiance College and conductor.
The event is free and open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken at the end of the performance.
