DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College students will be walking and running and dancing the night away to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network to benefit Mercy Children’s Hospital in Toledo.
A Dance Marathon will be held March 26-27 in the Weaner Community Center. The dancing begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday and continues through 2 a.m. on Sunday. The continuous 12 hours of dancing or being on one’s feet is representative of the children who are dealing with serious illnesses from which they cannot take a break.
The public is welcome to participate in the Dance Marathon by making a $10 donation per person at the door.
A 5k run or one mile fun run/walk will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 2. The race will begin and end at the Justin F. Coressel Stadium and move through the Defiance College Campus. All ages are welcome and pets and strollers are welcome. Registration forms can be found on the Defiance College website at http://www.defiance.edu/dcfunrun.pdf. Cost to participate is $10 and includes a t-shirt.

The Children’s Miracle Network is a charity that raises funds for more than 170 children’s hospitals. Donations to Children’s Miracle Network are used to provide charitable care, purchase life-saving equipment, and fund research and education programs that save and improve the lives of 17 million children each year.
