DEFIANCE, Ohio –Defiance College and the City of Defiance will host Richard Rozevink, chairman of the historic veterans committee of the Defiance County chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, and Randy Buchman, Defiance city historian and Defiance College emeritus professor, as they team up on Monday, March 21, for the next Town and Gown, War of 1812 series presentation. The 7:30 p.m. lecture will be held in the Arts and Media Center on the corner of Third and Wayne Street, Defiance.
The event is free and open to the public.
Rozevink and Buchman will present “The War of 1812 Through the Eyes and Words of Benson Lossing,” a verbal and visual presentation of Lossing’s illustrated books.
One additional War of 1812 Series events is scheduled for the spring. Dr. Gerald Bazer will present “Andrew Jackson’s Role in the War of 1812” on April 14.
