2011 Defiance College Commencement

Warmth and sunshine greeted the Defiance College class of 2011 on Sunday as more than 250 diplomas were awarded during commencement ceremonies held on the Colonnade Green. Pilgrim Medals were awarded to graduating senior Rebecca Zebrowski and former board of trustee member Lynn “Zac” Isaac. Professor Steve Smith was awarded the title Professor Emeritus. Commencement speaker was Adam Braun, founder and executive director of Pencils of Promise. Rev. Barbara Essex of the United Church of Christ gave the baccalaureate address.
