DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Schomburg Series welcomes Robin Spielberg to Schomburg Auditorium for the final concert of the 2011-12 series. The performance will be held on Tuesday, March 27, at 7 p.m. and is designed to please audiences of all ages.
Whether playing music that embraces the transition from summer to autumn, familiar songs for the holidays, or celebrating the glory days of summer and romance, Robin Spielberg’s concerts always intertwine musical performance with stories that inspire, enlighten and make audiences laugh.
A prolific composer, Spielberg has 16 recordings to her credit and appears on more than 40 compilations around the world. Her discography includes albums of original piano solos, arrangements of American standards, original and Americana songs for piano/ensemble, recordings for the holidays, and a CD of lullabies. Spielberg made her Carnegie Hall debut in a sold-out performance at the Weill Recital Hall in 1997 and has performed there twice since. Named to the prestigious Steinway Artist Roster, she has sold one million CDs, making her one of America’s most popular contemporary female pianists/composers.
Individual performance tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.
