DEFIANCE, Ohio – Defiance College has completed its energy efficiency project made possible with a $753,112 State Energy Grant through the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The extensive, two-year project included window replacement and lighting upgrades on campus. Interior and exterior lighting fixtures were replaced with more energy efficient models. Windows were also replaced in McReynolds and Dana halls.
Defiance College, chartered in 1850, is an independent, liberal arts institution in Northwest Ohio offering more than 40 undergraduate programs of study as well as graduate programs in education and business. Defiance College has received national recognition for its educational experience of service and engagement. The college website is www.defiance.edu.
