| The Yellow Jackets accomplished much in the 2006-2007 athletic year and piled up the honors. Defiance had 32 Heartland Conference Preseason Players to Watch, one NCAA All-American, one Academic All-American, two HCAC Freshman of the Year selections, three HCAC Athletes of the Month, 21 HCAC Player-of-the-Week selections, 43 All-Heartland Conference selections and numerous other individual achievements. Defiance also saw 10 teams get a taste of postseason play as Cross Country, Women's Golf, Men's Soccer, Volleyball, Women's Tennis, Men's Basketball, Men's Golf, Men's Tennis, Softball and Track and Field all competed in an HCAC Championship event and Softball claimed the regular season HCAC title.
