Defiance falls short against Dickinson

St. Petersburg, FL-- Defiance College suffered another tough loss on Tuesday afternoon, as they fell victim to a strong pitching performance in a 5-3 loss to Dickinson College.

Brian Kelley pitched nine strong innings for Dickinson, giving up only five hits to go along with four strikeouts. Kelley walked two Jackets.

Phil Kosier, David Jackson, and Eric Schwab each drove in a run for DC (1-4).

Cory Bergfeld suffered a loss in his first pitching decision of the season, giving up four runs in 6 2/3 innings of work. Nicholas Picciano and Chad Casey each came on in relief.

Defiance is back in action on Wednesday against Salem State University.
