Salem State outscores Jackets, 10-8

Clearwater, FL-- Salem State pushed two runs across the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a scoreless game and pick up a 10-8 win over Defiance College.

Jeremy Vance doubled and hit a home run for the Jackets, driving in a run in the process. Eric Tipton singled and doubled, driving in two runs, and Lenny Koesters had two RBI on three singles. James Yenser also added a double for DC.

Chad Casey picked up the loss for DC, giving up two runs on four hits in two innings of work. With the loss, Defiance slips to 1-5 on the season.
