Yenser named HCAC Pitcher of the Week, again

DEFIANCE, Ohio-- Defiance College’s James Yenser (Ayersville, Ohio/Ayersville) tossed a complete-game shutout against visiting Franklin College on Apr. 29 and has been named Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

The senior southpaw threw all seven innings in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-0 victory and allowed just three hits and one walk. He struck out six batters in the contest.

Yenser improved to 3-3 on the season and has an earned run average of 2.58. Defiance is 14-21 overall and 6-12 in the HCAC.
