DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College men’s and women’s cross country teams competed in the Cedarville Invite on Saturday, September 15. The men finished 12th out of 19 teams, while the women finished 14th out of 18.
The DC men turned in a balanced effort, with all five runners finishing within 17 places of each other. Leading the DC pack for the second straight week was Tyler Reese who finished 68th with a time of 29:08. Nic Alvarez and Troy Secrest were the next two Jacket runners to cross the finish line, completing the 8K race in 29:41 and 30:17 respectively.
Kaitlyn Switzer once again led the Defiance women’s team with a 51st place finish (21:25), followed by Courtney Lantz who completed the 5K course in 22:08 (60th).
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Bluffton, Ohio next Saturday, September 22 for the Bluffton University Invitational.
