DC Cross Country hosts Defiance Invitational

DEFIANCE, Ohio- The Defiance College Cross Country team participated in the Tiffin Invitational this past weekend in Tiffin, Ohio, with a solid performance displayed by the squad.

Travis Treece finished 46th in the 8k run with a time of 30:47.40, the highest DC finisher. Nic Alvarez and Adam Fullenkamp both finished the race within the 40-minute mark, with respective times of 32.05.10 and 37:07.50. Kendell Simon of Findlay was the top finisher with a time of 27:12.30.

For the women, Paula Stambaugh placed 39th, finishing the race in 23:19.60. Kelly Neff placed 64th with a time of 25:16.90. Sarah Stopke and Kyrie McDonald each finished under 26 minutes with times of 25:30.60 and 25:55.40, respectively.

Defiance will compete in the Toledo Invitational next Saturday morning. The first race begins at 10:35 a.m.
