--Defiance, Ohio-- Defiance College’s Kevin Dixon (Miami, Fla./Coral Park) has been named Heartland Conference Special Teams ‘Player of the Week’ for his impressive kickoff returns in the Jackets’ 41-6 loss to Otterbein College on Saturday.

Dixon returned seven kickoffs for 138 yards including a long of 31 yards. The senior posted a 19.7 average on his returns, while also adding two receptions for 20 yards. Defiance fell to 0-1 overall with the loss.

Dixon and the Yellow Jackets will look to get back on track when they travel to Adrian on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 1-0 after a 24-14 win at Heidelberg on Saturday.
