Snyder and Stambaugh named to National Team of the Week

DEFIANCE, Ohio— Two Defiance College Yellow Jackets have been named to D3Football.com’s Team of the Week for their performances in DC’s 28-14 over Hanover College on Saturday at Coressel Stadium.

Keith Snyder was named to the team as a defensive back after picking-off three second-half passes and breaking up two other HC air attempts. The Martin, Michigan native also tallied eight tackles in the game.

Blake Stambaugh was named the squad’s punter due to his 43.9-yard average and three punts inside the Panther 20-yard line on Saturday. The Swanton, Ohio native had two punts of 54 yards with one downed at the one-yard line and the other downed at the Hanover 13.

Snyder and Stambaugh both rank at the top of the Heartland Conference for interceptions and punting average, respectively.

The Jackets (4-2) will travel to Mount St. Joseph on Saturday to take on the 5-1 Lions at 4:30 p.m.
