2005-06 at Defiance: Wasted little time making his impact felt, emerging as one of the most dangerous big men in the Heartland Conference by averaging 7.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in 24 contests as a true freshman … Started all but a pair of HCAC contests where those averages jumped up to 9.2 points and 5.4 boards per outing … Displayed a soft touch from the field with a 53 percent field goal percentage, good for the ninth-best mark among all HCAC players … Led the Jackets in total and defensive rebounds while ranking in the top five in scoring and blocks … Ranked in the top 20 in the HCAC in rebounds and shooting and was 15th or better in the conference with a 54.2 field goal percentage, 5.4 rebounds and 0.4 blocks per game average in 14 league contests.
