Anderson Leads Yellow Jackets at DC Invitational

DEFIANCE, Ohio – Cody Anderson posted a single-round score of 83 to tie for 12th place in Monday’s six team Defiance College Invitational held at Kettenring Country Club. The Yellow Jackets ended in sixth place as a team.

Anderson’s 12th-place finish was followed up by Craig Holman’s 89 and Andrew Brent’s 91 as the pair ended tied for 24th and 26th respectively. Ryan Gladieux and Greg Vogt rounded out DC’s competitors by shooting 92 and tying for 28th.

Tiffin took two of the top three individual finishes and won the team title by 12 strokes with a total score of 309. Ohio Northern posted a 321 for second and Tri-State shot 329 for third. Wittenberg, Mount St. Joseph and Defiance rounded out the team standings.

ONU’s Andrew Rahrig blistered the course with a 67 to win the individual competition by seven strokes, while Tiffin’s Alex Kocin and Matt Cherry ended second and third with a 74 and 75.

The Yellow Jackets will be back on the links on Friday and Saturday as they compete in the Tri-State Invitational.
