Morgan and Rothermel Earn All-HCAC Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Defiance College seniors Brandon Morgan (Boiling Springs, Pa./Boiling Springs) and Ryan Rothermel (Delaware, Ohio/Fairborn) were named to the All-HCAC Second Team on Thursday, November 8 for their performance throughout the season.

Morgan played in 16 games at keeper for the Jackets, racking up over 100 saves for the second consecutive year. His 109 saves ranked first in the conference, while he finished tied for third in shutouts with two. ... (read more)

Jackets Fall to Anderson 2-0

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Defiance College men’s soccer team traveled to Anderson University on Saturday, October 27. The Jackets fell to in their season finale 2-0, dropping their record in the HCAC to 2-5-1. DC finishes in a tie for seventh place in the conference.

The Jackets finished the game with seven shots, led by Anthony Cornell's three shots on goal. Brandon Morgan tallied eight saves on the day, pushing his season total to 109 This season marks the second consecutive year that he has eclipsed the century mark in saves...(read more)

Cornell and Gallagher Score in Loss to Spartans

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College men’s soccer team dropped its home finale, 8-2, to Manchester College on Wednesday, October 24. The Jackets fall to 2-4-1 in HCAC play with the loss.

Trailing at the break, Defiance picked up the intensity scoring just minutes into the second period as Anthony Cornell broke free of his marker to score on a pass by Robbie Williamson. Cornell’s sixth goal in the last three games put DC on the board, narrowing the deficit to 4-1... (read more)
