Ravens beat Jackets on PK

ANDERSON, Ind.—The Defiance College men’s soccer team lost at Anderson University, 0-1, in a Heartland Conference match-up on Wednesday afternoon in Anderson, Indiana.

The game’s only goal came in the 22nd minute on a penalty kick by Anderson’s Peter Boberg. Jeff Meyer stopped five Raven shots on the game, while Chris Berg put two shots on goal. The Jackets out shot the hosts, 8-6, and had seven corner kicks compared to one for Anderson.

The Jackets are now 3-10-1 on the season and 1-3 in the HCAC, while the Ravens improve to 6-9-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

Defiance will next host Franklin on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
