DC Men’s Soccer shut out by #12 Baldwin-Wallace

BEREA, Ohio – The Defiance College Men’s Soccer team’s offensive struggles continued as the team failed to find the back of the net for the fifth straight game in a 4-0 loss to 12th-ranked Baldwin-Wallace.

Matt Pietro put Baldwin-Wallace on top first with a goal in the 13th minute. The game remained 1-0 through the remained of the first half when Louie Rolko gave B-W a 2-0 advantage with a score less than two minutes into the second half. Pietro added another goal in the 56th minute, with Zac Gaydosh adding the final goal with three minutes left to play.

The DC Yellow Jackets were able to get their opportunites, as evidenced by their 12 shots. However, the five that were on goal could not be converted into points. Collin Selahowski had three of DC’s five shots on goal, with Craig Burke and Ryan Rothermel contributing the other two shots. Brandon Morgan saved six shots for DC in the loss.

Defiance (1-6-0) is on the road Tuesday as the team takes on Heidelberg at 4:00 p.m.
