DC Men's Soccer falls in first game of 2006

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College men’s soccer squad could not manage a victory in the first game of the year as the team fell to Denison University by the score 2-0.

Denison put the pressure on DC offensively, as the Big Red outshot the Jackets 22-2. However, Defiance was able to withstand Denison's attack for most of the game. Denison put the first goal on the scoreboard in the 24th minute off of a corner kick. The Big Red would later add another goal in the 68th minute.

Daniel Meehan and Alex Toll each had a shot on goal, which were DC's only two shots of the game

Defiance (0-1-0) takes on Rochester College at 4:30 p.m. on Monday in search of the team's first win of the season.
