Jackets Post First Road Victory of the Season

FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Defiance College men’s soccer team won for the fourth time in its last five games on Saturday with a 3-1 victory at Franklin. The win was the first of the year for the Yellow Jackets on the road and moved DC to 3-2 in HCAC contests.

Karl Eustache scored the first road goal of the season for Defiance on a penalty kick in the first half as the teams battled to a 1-1 tie after the opening 45 minutes of play.

Defiance took control in the second half with a pair of goals from forwards Daniel Meehan and Michael Bell. DC’s defense did the rest, holding Franklin scoreless for the remainder of the game to preserve the 3-1 win.

Defiance (5-9, 3-2 HCAC) will play a non-conference match at Huntington College on Monday afternoon.
