Jacket Men’s Soccer shuts out Hanover

--DEFIANCE, Ohio.—The Yellow Jacket Men's Soccer team gained their first HCAC win of the season by blanking Hanover College by the score of 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.

Karl Eustache had a hat trick for the Jackets, scoring three goals in the game, all of them coming in the first half. Benji Hughes, Alex Toll, and Matt Blount also added a goal each. Ryan Rothermel assisted on Hughes' and Blount's goal in the first half.

The Jackets jumped out to an early lead when Eustache scored his first goal of the day 10 minutes into the game. Hughes added his goal seven minutes later. Eustache scored again in the 24th minute and completed the hat trick with his third of the day at the 30 minute mark. Blount put the punctuation mark on the game when he scored the fifth goal of the half with four minutes left when he headed the ball in off of a deflected pass. Toll put in DC's sixth and final goal of the day in the 74th minute when he scored off of a missed goalie save.

Jeff Meyer gets his first shutout of the season by saving seven shots on goal.

The Jackets improve to 3-7-0 on the year with a league-leading 3-0 mark in the HCAC. DC hosts Mandchester on Tuesday at Winsper-Knobel Field.
