Eustache scores again, but Jackets fall 1-2

ADA, Ohio— With a late second-half goal, the Heidelberg Student Princes forced overtime against the DC Yellow Jackets and eventually down Defiance, 2-1, on an unassisted goal in the second overtime on Friday afternoon in the Ohio Northern University-Adidas Classic in Ada, Ohio.

Karl Eustache scored on one of DC’s three shots on goal when he beat the goalkeeper in the 65th minute off a Dan Walther assist. The Princes got off 10 shots on goal, but Jacket keeper Jeff Meyer stymied 9 shots, while the two teams both managed seven corner kicks.

Adam Snailham had both Heidelberg goals with the first in the 86th minute and second coming on a direct kick in the second extra frame.

The Jackets are now 1-2-0 overall and will face host Ohio Northern tomorrow at 3:00 p.m.

The Polare Bears faced Anderson in the first round of the tournament and were 1-2-0 coming into the ONU-Adidas Classic.
