Just three minutes into the contest Heidelberg’s Cory Buhrman cleaned up a blocked shot by DC keeper Brandon Morgan to give the Student Princes the lead, 1-0. Morgan would not allow another goal as the senior from Boiling Springs, Pa. racked up five saves, while keeping the last 19 Heidelberg shots out of the net.

DC was unable to capitalize on a great defensive effort, despite several good looks at the goal. The Jackets finished the night with nine shots, led by Chris Kessler and Benji Hughes with two each.

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, September 29, when they jump back into conference action at Mount St. Joseph. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
