Defiance at Heidelberg Box Score

TIFFIN, Ohio – A season-long, six-match road swing came to an end on Tuesday night for the Defiance College men’s soccer team with a 4-0 loss at Heidelberg. The Jackets put four shots on target, but failed to find the net in the non-conference loss.

The scoring started for Heidelberg in the 36th minute of the opening frame on the first of Brent Kehrle’s two goals. Kehrle then broke open the 1-0 game at the 52:11 mark with his second tally and Billy Banks added another score just 1:30 later to push the score to 3-0. Heidelberg tacked on its final insurance goal in the 84th minute and went on to take the 4-0 victory over the Jackets.

Defiance (1-7, 0-1 HCAC) will play on its home field for just the just the third time all season on Thursday when it hosts Capital at 4:30 pm.
