Yellow Jacket Soccer drops first game

-OBERLIN, OHIO—The Yellow Jackets soccer team barely lost its first game of the season against the College of Wooster by the score of 1-0.

The game was similar to that of the Lady Jackets' season opener earlier in the day, in that both teams carried shutouts into the second half. For the men's team, the turning point came when Wooster scored a goal with 17 minutes left in the second half.

Goalie Jeff Meyer saved 7 of 8 shots on goal. Offensively, Karl Eustache had two shots on goal, and Joel Wilkins and Ryan Rothermal each had a shot on goal.

DC looks to get its first victory of the year as they continue play at the Oberlin Tournament tomorrow.
