Defiance Soccer loses on PK to Oberlin

--Defiance, Ohio—The DC Yellow Jacket soccer team fell 0-1 to the Oberlin Yeomen on a first-half penalty kick at Winsper-Knobel Field on Wednesday evening.

Joe DiSalvio played well in goal, snaring six saves while facing 12 shots. Ron Litteral led the Jackets with six shots on goal, while Karl Eustache managed four. Oberlin’s goal came from David Wilson, who scored after a foul was called in the box.

The Yeomen had six corner kicks compared to the Jackets’ one, while also out-fouling DC 8-to-six.

DC drops to 3-5-2 on the year with the HCAC opener on Saturday at Franklin, starting at 2:00 p.m. (CST), following the women’s game at noon.

Joe DiSalvio had six saves for DC in the 0-1 loss to Oberlin College.
