DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College men’s soccer team was outshot 31-6 on its way to a 4-1 loss to Ohio Northern. The loss drops the Jackets to 0-4 on the season.
DC got on the board early in the match, as Benji Hughes took advantage of ONU’s fallen keeper putting a shot in the back of the net to give Defiance the lead 1-0. ONU took over from there, constantly pressuring Jacket goalie Brandon Morgan. Morgan finished the game with a career-high 12 saves, but the 31-shot onslaught by the Polar Bears still yielded 4 goals.
Defiance will return to action on Saturday, September 15 when they host HCAC foe Rose-Hulman at Riverside Park. The match is slated to begin at noon.
