Yellow Jackets shut out by Otterbein
DEFIANCE, OhioThe Defiance College Yellow Jacket Men’s Soccer team lost to Otterbein by the score of 5-0.
Otterbein jumped out to an early lead, scoring in the first minute on their first shot on goal. The Cardinals ended up with four goals by the end of the first half, including a goal off of a penalty kick.
Defiance could not seem to get a rhythm going on offense, as the Yellow Jackets had only three shots on goal for the game. Benji Hughes had two of those shots; Craig Burke had the other. Goalkeeper Jeff Meyer had three saves for DC.
The Yellow Jackets have the rest of the week off, as they prepare for conference play. Defiance’s next match is against Hanover on Saturday, October 8 at 2 p.m.
