Chris Berg named Heartland’s Player of the Week

DEFIANCE, Ohio—Defiance College’s Chris Berg has been named Heartland Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for his performance against the Franklin College Grizzlies on Saturday.

Berg (Lima, Ohio/Elida) led the Yellow Jackets to a 6-0 win over Franklin on Oct. 22. The senior midfielder posted two goals in the match, his first two goals of the season. Berg notched his first goal in the 38th minute and added his second at the 79 minute mark of the second half.

The Yellow Jackets are 4-11 on the year and improved to 2-3 in the HCAC with the win.
