DC Men's Soccer honors seniors Jared Gray and Alex Toll

Jared William Gray is the son of Betsy Gray of Camden, Ohio and a graduate of Preble Shawnee High School. He will graduate from DC this spring with a degree in business administration and hopes to work in Marketing after graduation. He has played as a midfielder for the men’s soccer program at Defiance for four years and is a two-year letterwinner. This season, Jared’s teammates voted him to be one of the team captains and he has made a huge impact on and off the field with his leadership for the Yellow Jackets.

• He has played in 50 games in his career.

• He scored two goals and had an assist in a 4-0 win against Mount St. Joseph on October 29 of last season.

• This season, Jared has three assists and three points.

• In his career, Jared has scored five goals and tallied six assists for 16 points.

Alexander Lee Toll is the son of Lee Toll of Springfield, Ohio. Alex is majoring in Integrated Social Studies and hopes to become a high school teacher in OH after graduation. He has played soccer at Defiance for four years and is a four-year letterwinner for the Yellow Jackets. In those four years at DC, Alex has played as a midfielder and striker. Like Jared Gray, Alex Toll has also made great contributions to the DC Soccer program during his time at Defiance.

• This season, Alex is tied for fifth on the team with one goal scored.

• In his career, Alex has scored five goals and totaled eight assists for 18 points.

• He has not missed a game for Defiance since the 2004 season, with a total of 60 games played in his career.

• The Yellow Jackets as a team are 5-0 in games in which Toll has scored a goal.
