DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Defiance College men’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of St. Francis on Monday, October 8. The Yellow Jackets fall to 2-10 overall on the season with the loss.
The Cougars jumped on the board early, scoring in the 10th minute to grab an early 1-0 lead. They would tack on two more before the end of the match to take home a 3-0 victory.
DC, hobbled by injuries, was unable to put much pressure on St. Francis keeper Nick Morken as they managed only three shots on the game. Joshua Brumfield, Benji Hughes, and Ryan Rothermel each had shots for the Jackets. Robbie Williamson making his third career start had two saves for Defiance.
The Yellow Jackets return to action on Saturday, October 13, when they host to HCAC foe Franklin at Defiance High School. The match is set to begin at 3:00 p.m.
