Freshman, Haberman has ‘Hat Trick’ in Jacket win

--Defiance, Ohio—The DC men’s soccer team overpowered Taylor University Ft. Wayne 6-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Matthew Winsper-Knobel Field.

Cory Haberman, a freshman from Marion, Ohio, had a hat trick in the win. Karl Eustache and Benji Hughes had two assists each, while Alex Toll notched one. Ben Jennings, Branden Able and Brian Ayers also scored goals, while Jeff Meyer got the shut-out with six saves.

The Jackets, who scored four second-half goals, outshot the Falcons 46-to-7, while also leading in corner kicks, 6-to-2. Taylor outfouled the Jackets 8-to-6 in the contest.

DC is now 3-2-2 on the year and will host Elmhurst on Friday at 5:00 p.m. before traveling to Otterbein on Saturday.
