Jacket Tennis gets second win over Adrian

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College Men’s Tennis team defeated Adrian College for the second time this season with a 8-1 victory at the Dix Tennis Facility on Thursday afternoon.

Stefan Faerber won 6-1, 6-2 over Dan Krsteski at #1 singles, while Jared Sponseller defeated Steve Kerwin, 6-2, 6-1 at the #2 spot. Jeff Meyer was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at #3 singles. David Scott defeated Rich Powers 6-3, 6-2 at #4 singles and Joe Cronkhite won his third-straight singles match 6-3, 6-1 over Blake Childs. Wes Auld also won his third consecutive match as he was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Dave Schalaufman in the #6 spot.

Faerber and Scott won 8-6 at #2 doubles, while Meyer and Sponseller were 8-3 winners at #3 doubles.

The Jackets are now 3-8 overall and will next travel to Anderson to face the Ravens and Bluffton University on Saturday for a tri-match starting at 11:00 p.m.
