Yellow Jacket Tennis wins two in a row

DEFIANCE, Ohio - After dropping an earlier match this season to Adrian College, the Defiance College Yellow Jacket Men’s Tennis team was able to return the favor as the team took Thursday afternoon’s match 7-2.
The Yellow Jackets took two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches en route to the victory. Jared Sponseller and Jeff Meyer earned their eighth straight #3 doubles win, taking out Steve Kerwin and Blake Childs by the score 8-4. Stefan Faerber and Adam Fausey beat out Tom Rastall and Cody Rudolph 8-5 in #1 doubles. Karl Eustache picked up his fourth win of the season in #5 singles, winning 6-3, 6-0 over Childs.
Freshman Tim Kurtz had the longest day out of the team in terms of time of play Kurtz and Tyler Ault dropped a 9-8 (10-8) heartbreaker to Dan Krsteski and Mike Douglas, but exacting payback against Krsteski in #2 singles in a 3-6, 6-1, 10-8 win.
DC begins conference play over the weekend as the Jackets host Anderson University and the College of Mount St. Joseph on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
