DC Tennis falls to Adrian

DEFIANCE, Ohio – The Defiance College Men’s Tennis team is still searching for its first win of the season after dropping its match to Adrian College Tuesday evening by the score 7-2.

Tim Kurtz was one of two Yellow Jackets to gain a win in singles play. The former HCAC Freshman of the Year picked up his first win of the season with a 3-6, 6-4, 10-5 victory over Mike Douglas in #1 singles.

Tyler Ault maintained his .500 overall record with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Orlo Yeagley in #4 singles.

Ault currently leads the team in overall wins with three on the year. He is 2-1 in singles play and has won at least one singles or doubles match in every meeting this year.

Defiance (0-3) will hit the road to Hilton Head to play in its annual Spring Break tournament next Sunday. The Yellow Jackets are scheduled to play five matches next week with its first being against the University of Scranton, PA this Sunday at 4:00 p.m.
