Men's Tennis Falls to Baldwin-Wallace in Season Opener

BEREA, Ohio – The 2008 season got underway on Saturday for the Defiance College men’s tennis program as the Yellow Jackets fell, 9-0, at Baldwin-Wallace. Defiance goes to 0-1 with the loss, while Baldwin-Wallace ups its mark to 3-2.

The Jackets were swept in doubles action, before falling in straight sets in all six singles matches. Tim Kurtz fell 6-1, 6-0 at the top singles position and also teamed with Adam Fausey for an 8-2 defeat at No. 1 doubles.

Fausey dropped his No. 2 singles match by a 6-3, 6-0 score and Austin Kleman fell 6-0, 7-5 at No. 3 singles.

Defiance (0-1) will have some time off before playing at Adrian on March 4.
