DC Tennis honors 2005 season

DEFIANCE, Ohio—The Defiance College Men’s Tennis team held its annual awards banquet on Sunday on the Defiance College campus.

Stefan Faerber, a junior from Avon Lake, Ohio was named the squad's Most Valuable Player. Faerber was also named to the All-Heartland Conference team one week ago. Fellow All-HCAC honoree and conference #2 singles champion Nathan Butler, a sophomore from Napoleon, was given the 'Point of the Year' award.

Senior Wes Auld, from Convoy, was recognized with an award in his name. The 'Wes Auld Hustle Award' will now be given annually to a worthy recipient. Joe Cronkhite, another DC senior, joined Auld in receiving the 'Match of the Year' award. The 'Most Improved Player' Award was given to sophomore Mike Mach, a sophomore from Liberty Center.

The Defiance College Men's Tennis team finished third in HCAC Tournament.
