DEFIANCE, Ohio - On Senior Day, the Defiance College Men’s Tennis team beat conference rival Bluffton University 9-0 to close out the regular season with a win..

The three seniors, Jared Sponseller, Jeff Meyer, and Stefan Faerber all earned victories in their final home match. Sponseller and Meyer took a victory in # doubles for the 15th time this season, with a 8-4 win over Isaiah Scholneger and Colin Yoder. Sponseller also picked up his fifth win in a row in #4 singles, beating Pete Martin 6-1, 6-1. Faeber won in #1 singles 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and in #1 doubles with Adam Fausey 8-0.

With a 6-2, 6-1 win in #6 singles over Bluffton’s Yoder, Tyler Ault became the first DC player to go undefeated in conference play, with a record of 6-0

DC, with a record of 10-11 (4-2 HCAC), travels to Indianapolis for the weekend to take part in the end-of-the-season HCAC Tournament.
